Imagine you’re on an island where a few powerful companies control most of the resources. One of these companies is Nvidia, a leading supplier of GPUs that power gaming, crypto, and AI. Jacopo Pantaleoni, an engineer who used to work at Nvidia, has written a book warning about the dangers of AI being controlled by a few tech giants. Meanwhile, a researcher named Kevin is working on a project called Open Souls, which aims to create a more empathetic AI.
