This website just got the rejuvenation treatment.
There’s some old bits still lurking (like my old videos) but the refresh reflects a new energy and direction for where I’m going.
I’ve had online “homes” for over two decades. This has mainly been in blog form and oddly enough that particular format has been missing from the web for a year or two.
I’ve been writing fastidiously of course. Just in differing formats like LinkedIn posts, forays into email newsletters, and the aforementioned videos.
All of these will continue in some form, but I’ve missed having my own corner of the Internet to present my view of the world.
That continues to grow, and I’m excited to share my intentions here.
The latter ticks a lot of boxes for me.
I love writing, creating, sharing, educating, presenting, and speaking.
I also like doing this without unrelenting financial pressure.
I’m fortunate to be in a position where I can balance my part-time role with other projects. So rather than shop myself around as a freelancer, I’m going to build.
Focusing here prevents me from over-stretching myself. It also allows me to take smaller, more speculative bets towards creating value.
I have plenty I want to say, share, and help readers with.
The initial project is an ebook called “Marketing from Scratch” and it’s well under way.
One of the most common questions I get is “how do I do marketing” from friends, loved ones, acquaintances, and that dude that didn't talk to me at high school.
I’m getting close to two decades of experience and I recognise it’s not an easy to question for newbies to answer.
Google it - and you’ll get overwhelmed before you can say “two shakes of a lamb’s tail”.
My solution for this that builds your literacy as you do things - in a way that isn’t reliant on one particular tool.
There’s more.
I’m keen to build at least one online course this year, and have further projects I want to create around no-code and staying mentally healthy.
Housing it all here makes sense.
I will keep an eye on feedback on see how things grow and develop over the rest of 2022.
It’s good to have my a word home back 🏠
